Stannah was founded by Joseph Stannah in 1867, remains independent and family-run, and introduced stairlifts to the UK in the early 1970s. It offers straight, curved and outdoor stairlifts as new, rental or reconditioned models, with finance options. The first step is a free in-home survey, where an adviser measures your staircase and provides a written quote. Stannah states membership of the British Healthcare Trades Association and the Trading Standards Buy With Confidence scheme.
